Visiting students and scholar programs are open for students who wish to conduct short-term research in NYCU and experience life in Taiwan. The short-term research program and the exchange student program are both available at the university level. More information is available at the Office of International Affairs of NYCU, who coordinates all short-term programs for international students. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Short-term research program<\/b><\/p>

Program Profile<\/p><\/td>

Current students from universities outside of Taiwan who wish to do research at NYCU (less than 180 days).<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Documents Required<\/p><\/td>

  • Application form\u00a0 (typewritten) (doc.) (odt.)\u00a0<\/li>
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English<\/li>
  • Research Proposal (1 A4 page only)<\/li>
  • Invitation Letter from an NYCU supervisor (This letter is compulsory for the visa process. It should be formal and with the professor\u2019s signature, department, email, and physical address.)<\/li>
  • Latest \u201cEnrollment Letter\u201d with an official stamp from the home university (or valid student ID card with an expiry date on it, please make sure the enrollment letter should cover your duration of your stay at NYCU)<\/li>
  • A copy of a valid passport (valid for at least 6 months)<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>

Application Instruction<\/p><\/td>

  • Email the completed application package (all required documents mentioned above) at least 2 months before the tentative research starting date to the NYCU coordinator.<\/li>
  • Students who submit the completed application package in advance will have priority when applying for accommodation.<\/li><\/ul><\/td><\/tr>

Admissions<\/p><\/td>

Admitted students will receive an admission letter and official approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) after the application is reported to MoE.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Other Information<\/p><\/td>

Division of International & Cross-strait Services (ICS) will email the \u201cWelcome Package\u201d to admitted students in which registration, arrival, and dormitory application information etc. is contained.<\/p><\/td><\/tr>

Exchange\/ Visiting Students\u00a0<\/b><\/p>

  1. Inbound Exchange Program<\/li><\/ol>

    The Inbound Exchange Program is for students from our partner universities who wish to take courses at NYCU and are nominated by their home universities. Students whose parents are CTU (Hsinchu, Beijing, Shanghai, Xi\u2019an, Southwest Jiaotong University) alumni who wish to take courses at NYCU are also eligible for this program.\u00a0<\/p>

    1. Inbound Visiting Program (fee-paying exchange program)<\/li><\/ol>

      This program is for students from our partner universities who wish to take courses at NYCU without applying via their home universities, and students from non-partner universities who wish to take courses at NYCU.\u00a0<\/p>
