【Call for Papers: 2026 ALSA Annual Meeting in Taiwan】
Dear Esteemed Scholars and Colleagues,
We warmly invite you to join us at the 2026 Asian Law and Society Association (ALSA) Annual Meeting, to be held from December 5 to 6, 2026, in Hsinchu City, Taiwan.
Conference Theme: Law and Resilience: Sustainability, Equity, and Technology Governance
Hosted by: National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) School of Law, Hsin-Chu City, Taiwan.
As the world navigates complex, interconnected challenges, this year’s conference aims to foster critical global dialogue on the evolving role of law. We welcome submissions and participation from scholars, researchers, and practitioners across all jurisdictions to share diverse perspectives.
We invite submissions in the following three categories:
1. Individual Paper Proposal — Submit an abstract for a single paper to be placed on a panel by the organizers.
2. Proposal for Paper Panels — Propose a complete panel session with a unifying theme, with at least three papers.
3. Junior Scholar Workshop — Designed for early-career researchers (doctoral candidates and recent graduates) seeking developmental feedback on works in progress. The Junior Scholar Workshop will be held on December 4.
4. Author Meets Readers Book Panels —This format is devoted to scholarly dialogue on recently published monographs in Asian law and society. It brings together an author with a small group of readers (commentators) for an in-depth discussion of the work’s contributions and implications. Eligible works must have been published on or after October 1, 2025.
