International Association of Law Schools (IALS)

NYCU Law joined the IALS in 2019. The IALS is a private, non-profit organization of law schools around the world and is an academic community of more than 7500 scholars from 230 law schools and from 55 countries. Established in Hawaii in May 2004 as a result of a meeting attended by 130 scholars from 47 countries. In the next year, in April 2005, the scholars from 14 countries gathered in Istanbul and passed the Charter of IALS. In October 2005, the IASL was officially established according to the law of Washington D.C.
